Cookie Notice
What cookies we use on biznizchairs.co.za, why we use them, and how you control them.
This Cookie Notice explains the small files our website saves on your device when you visit, what they are used for, and how you can control them. It works alongside our Privacy Policy.
1. What are cookies?
Cookies are tiny text files that a website saves on your computer or phone. They let the site remember things like what is in your shopping cart, whether you are signed in, and which pages you have visited. Most websites in South Africa β and around the world β use them.
Some are essential for the site to work; others help us understand how the site is used or show you relevant ads. We also treat similar technologies (local storage, pixels, web beacons, session tags) the same way as cookies for the purposes of this notice.
2. The four types of cookies we use
3. Your choices
When you visit the site for the first time, you will see a cookie banner with three buttons:
- Accept all β allow every category above.
- Reject non-essential β allow only essential cookies.
- Customise β choose which categories you are happy with.
You can change your choice at any time by clicking the "Cookie settings" link in the website footer.
4. Browser-level controls
Most browsers also let you block or delete cookies on your own. The exact steps depend on your browser:
- Google Chrome: Settings β Privacy and security β Cookies and other site data.
- Safari: Settings β Privacy.
- Firefox: Settings β Privacy and Security.
- Edge: Settings β Cookies and site permissions.
Blocking essential cookies may stop parts of the site from working (for example, the cart).
5. Do Not Track signals
Some browsers can send a "Do Not Track" signal to websites. There is no agreed industry standard for how to respond to this signal, so we currently honour your choices via the cookie banner rather than the DNT header.
6. Third parties named in this notice
The third parties most likely to set cookies via our site are:
- Google Analytics (Google LLC) β analytics.
- Meta Pixel (Meta Platforms Inc.) β marketing.
- Yoco (Yoco Technologies (Pty) Ltd) β payment session security on the checkout page.
- Firebase / Google Cloud β login and security session.
Each of these has its own privacy and cookie policy on its own site.
7. Children
We do not target our marketing or analytics at anyone under 18. If you are under 18, please reject non-essential cookies.
8. Changes to this notice
If we add a new tool that sets cookies, we will update this notice and refresh the cookie banner so you can choose again.
9. More information
